Getting Ready for that Special Day!
A lot of people go crazy in order to make sure that everything is perfect on that special day! One of the most important, but often looked over elements, of your wedding day includes your cake. We don't believe in just putting together a few layers of cake or making you something that your mother or grandmother would have loved! No offense to anyone's parents or grandparents, but the modern bride is not always looking for simply traditional.
It is important to find the right cake that fits your style and personality. We enjoy being part of that process! We give brides and anyone looking to buy a unique cake plenty of options and, more importantly, plenty of assistance in making these choices!
It would be our pleasure to have a chance to get to know you or to take some time to answer some of your questions so feel free to contact us! We can be reached through our phone lines, email, fax, or even leave me a post on the board whether it be a comment or a question.
Here are a list of a few simple things to keep in mind when your going to get ready to pick a place to get your cake and a few simple facts about picking out the cake itself:
1. See if the facility will offer you an appointment to meet with a consultant
2. See if they will offer you a taste of what they want to sell you--there is nothing worse than something that looks nice but will possibly taste bad!
3. Do a little research! See if your friends or family has heard of the place you want to use.
4. Check out if they have a website
5. Give them a call to make sure they can make what you actually want--not all places are actualy capable of making certain cakes.
6. Ask about pricing! We are up front about what we are going to charge you! If a cake is going to be expensive we will let you know and we will work with you to make it more affordable, but don't let people waste your time...if it is too expensive then make sure you know that early on!
7. Find out what you like and dislike..do you like butter cream or fondant? Do you know what either one is? Do you know why one costs more than the other? An informed bride is a wise bride!
8. Know what kind of options you have for your cake? Will your hall provide a cake, do they have a facility that they use, will you have to find your own bakery? These are all questions you need to have answered in advance.
9. When you get to the bakery or when your going to taste, find out what they will offer you 3 tiers or four tiers of cake, what kind of shapes, what kinds of styles, check out all your options because it may take some time but you may not find the perfect cake at first, but make sure you use all your resources!
10. Check back soon, I will keep you all posted!!
